About Us: The PCOS Practice was founded by PCOS Registered Dietitian, Cory Ruth of The Women’s Dietitian. This practice is dedicated to empowering women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) to achieve optimal health and wellness. Our comprehensive approach integrates personalized coaching on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes to help our clients manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Certified Health Coach specializing in women’s health to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition, exercise science, and lifestyle management, with a passion for helping individuals with PCOS. This role involves providing one-on-one coaching to clients, creating personalized health plans, and offering continuous support and motivation to keep clients moving towards their health goals.
Training Overview: All coaches through The PCOS Practice will receive thorough training on PCOS and The Women’s Dietitian’s coaching methods. At the conclusion of training, coaches will be expected to carry-out the responsibilities outlined below.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' health, lifestyle, and goals to create individualized coaching plans.
Provide expert guidance on nutrition tailored to managing PCOS symptoms, including eating guidelines, dietary adjustments, and supplement recommendations.
Develop and oversee simple but effective personalized exercise guidelines that align with clients' fitness levels and health goals, with a focus on improving insulin sensitivity and weight management (as applicable).
Offer lifestyle coaching to address stress management, sleep improvement, and other factors affecting PCOS.
Monitor clients' progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
Educate clients about PCOS, its symptoms, its risks, and effective management strategies.
Maintain detailed and confidential records of clients' progress and interactions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in PCOS management and health coaching.
Foster a supportive and motivating environment to help clients stay committed to their health goals.
Collaborate with the Chief of Staff, Owner/CEO, and other healthcare professionals as needed to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required (BS, BA, BBA- does NOT have to be in nutrition).
Certification as a Health Coach (e.g., ACE, IIN, NBHWC, or similar accredited program).
At least one (1) year of experience in health coaching, nutrition coaching, fitness and wellness coaching or a related field.
Interested in specialized training in PCOS management and/or women's health.
Some understanding of PCOS, its symptoms, and holistic management strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand, motivate, and inspire clients.
Ability to create personalized, realistic, and achievable health plans.
Proficient in using digital tools for coaching sessions and maintaining client records.
Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to making a positive impact on clients' lives.
